Udawalawe National Park

Udawalawe National Park lies on the boundary of Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces, and is the third most visited park in the country. The park is an important habitat for water birds and for the Sri Lankan Elephant, and it is also considered as one of the best place for elephant in the island, where they can roam freely in the wild. The reserve covers an area of 30,821 hectares (119 sq. miles). There are also many other animals like the Sri Lanka Lepord, Wild boar, Sri Lankan spotted chevrotain and many more. Try to avoid the rainy season and visit between June and September.
